Weekly Reads – April 16

My favourite time of the week is here, which means that the Weekly Reads are out. And it’s double my favourite, because it’s such a wonderful time of the year in Berlin! It’s spring and summer warm and the city is slowly turning green. There is no better time to be in the city and enjoy it, so I am taking a quick moment in today’s post to share some gratitude for all the wonderful people around us as well as all the beautiful things we get to enjoy.

Spring outfit inspiration. If you need ideas your spring outfits, look no further. The Every Girl has us covered, and here you can find a few ideas for quick and easy outfits.

Stay strong. Being mentally strong is a trait that can not only define your success career wise, but ti can also define the way you live  your life, and the fulfilment and happiness you frame around it. So here are ten habits of mentally strong people and I am using this as a means to mainly remind myself of it, as lately I found myself giving into negative thoughts around both work and personal life.

Culture trumps talent. Maybe it’s me but I feel like a lot of companies fail at building a good culture that fosters real talent retention, growth and development, as often they are too focused on fuelling company politics. Creating an inclusive work culture definitely takes effort, but I also think a lot of courage.

Reverted impostor syndrome.  On the other spectrum of impostor syndrome, there is a piece of research that claims that knowing little about something might make us overconfident. I can definitely see where this comes from, so it’s a good one to keep in mind and be aware of.

Book List. Growing up I have been always an avid reader. But as I have started working full time, I really slacked off in the past couple of years and barely read a few books. If you like me are trying to fight back and get more reading in here is a list of inspirational books to start with.
