Cohorted – November Beauty Box Review

With November over already, it’s actually time for me to share my Cohorted – November Beauty Box review. For those who have read my first review last month, you know that it’s the first beauty box subscription I have ever tried and I am quite excited about it. This is my second month with it and I am blown away by all the great & full-sized products they manage to pack in these 35£ (they are UK-based) boxes (I pay 45€ as it’s shipping to Germany) – and this month’s edition is valued at over 300€.

The November box is a special edition in collaboration with Anne Semonin – a Parisian high-end skin care brand used in many luxury spas. I had never heard of it before but I can see that the products prices are on the higher end, which always makes it easier to get excited about them.

I’ll have to admit I was skeptical about this at the start; I didn’t believe the products would be good if they have “dumped” them into these 45 € boxes. Oh boy, was I wrong! it seems like each and every product is engineered to have the perfect texture, leaving a great feeling for the skin; I am beyond surprised about how great the products are.

THE PRODUCTS

Miracle Eye Contour Anti-Wrinkle Cream – I don’t use a dedicated eye cream and I am really happy this one arrived. I don’t have any special condition with my under eye area, no dark circles or heavy puffiness (or at least that is what I think) so I cannot say if it makes a huge impact on that, but it definitely leaves my eye area hydrated and feeling good. For a price of 139 €, I really don’t mind having this one in my beauty cabinet.

Marine Emulsion – It has the perfect texture and despite containing some silicone, it does not feel heavy on the skin. It’s light but I feel that it provides the right amount of hydration in a very gentle way. It retails at about 66 € and it’s just the right hydrating cream I needed for the cold season.

Super Active Serum – Upfront full disclosure: I completely love the serum. It retails at 140 € (!) and its texture is just perfect; not oily at all and not too watery either, but it leaves the skin feeling fresh and hydrated. Almost after the first use, I felt that it smoothens and brightens up the skin; and truth is I have been feeling radiant since I have started using it at the start of the week. Is there suppose to have a heavy anti-aging effect? Do I actually need that? Do I care about it given how much I like the product? The answer is no, no and no, but then again I absolutely love it!

The box also has one Eye Express – Radiance Ice Cube, which is worth about 9 €. I have not tried this yet but it’s a complete solution to treat dark circles, puffiness and wrinkles. I don’t have any major issues with my under eye area but I bet this will become useful after some late or bad sleep night.

THE AFTERMATH

With these products, all my fears of silicone and a few non-clean ingredients are long gone. While I generally try to make a conscious attempt of not buying non-clean products and sticking to simple formulations, I am not attempting to have a fully clean lifestyle yet so I am happy with my decision for now.

Unfortunately, this will be my last beauty box and therefore, review for now. While I am by no means disappointed with the products and the concept, I am focusing on de-cluttering and not accumulating too many products. I am pretty sure I will re-start the subscription in a few months. I can only recommend the box to anyone who wants to try some new, good and full-sized products. The box really feels like a luxe experience and in my opinion it’s totally worth it!
