Is it a bit late for a Christmas gift guide? It might be. Have I already gotten all my Christmas gift shopping in and now I am just comfortably talking? I might. Nonetheless, we are only halfway through our Advent calendars so if you still want to get something special for your loved ones, you have plenty of time. As you read through it, you will find that this 2020 holiday gift guide is sort of a cheat gift guide. It’s half things I got and loved, and half things I wish I got. So here it is, my round-up of gift ideas for the 2020 holiday season; you may also call it my wishlist.
- Aesop Resurrection Duet – the hand wash and hand cream set. I have been using the Aesop duet at home over the last year and I love it. With handwashing at the top of activities we’ve done in 2020, why not gift something that can take it up a notch. Naturally, the handwash only lasts for a couple of months and has to be replaced more often, but the hand cream lasts for a rather long time. I like that even with the numerous times that we wash hands in a day it does not dry the skin and the smell is divine; the looks are also for the books.
- Jo Malone Wood Sage & Sea Salt Home Candle was on my original Christmas wish list and it already made its way to me earlier in December when I opened my first gift. I love the packaging (which makes for a really good gift) and the scent is amazing. I am not big into perfumes but this smell makes me want to also get the perfume – but we’ll leave that for a different wishlist.
- Dyson Corrale hair straightener is the biggest item on my wishlist right now. I’ve lived without a hair straightener/curler for the past 5 years (and did not necessarily miss it) but I feel like I could step up my game and this one is the way to go. If you need a wow present and have a loose budget, this – or any other Dyson beauty product for this matter – will certainly do it!
- Body brush for dry brushing from Elemis. Dry brushing is quite the thing nowadays in self-care and is quite a healthy practice I hear/read. Gifting something like this will definitely show that you care about their self-care game.
- Stasher reusable silicone bag. I will admit that I am nowhere to being where I should in terms of sustainability, however, I do want to incorporate more of it. These silicone bags are great for storing food and they are non-toxic, dishwasher and microwave safe as well as endlessly reusable for carrying your sandwiches to the office as 2021 office days loom ahead of us.
- Beeswax Wrap Eco Starter Gift bundle – In the same line of thinking as the item above this bundle can make for a great gift. I particularly like their wraps which are handmade from British locally sourced material and are reusable for up to a year. They also look very, very pretty if you ask me.
- Beautiful Bodies Long Sleepwear Set from Nightire – I only came across this brand recently but I am totally sold on the idea. Their pyjamas are made from 100% organic bamboo, are temperature regulating and honestly, just very cute.
- Porcelain cups from H&M – I love drinking coffee and tea from beautiful cups and when I saw these at H&M Home I thought they would make for the perfect gift for any coffee/tea lover.
- Gisou honey hair oil – I am yet to find a holy grail product for my hair and the Gisou hair oil looks like a great candidate. Add the beautiful packaging to it and why not gift it to your sister or friend?
I hope you found this 2020 holiday gift guide useful – or at least enjoyed it – and in case you are still running around for gifts, maybe a few of the things above served as inspiration.
