Around this time of the year, I love to sit down and curate a small list of items that I’d love to gift or be gifted, and this is how the holiday gift guide for her 2023 edition comes to be. I love to use it as inspiration for my own Christmas shopping and also to revisit things on my wishlist. As usual, I thought it might be nice to share some of the ideas with you in case you still need to get something special for your loved ones or even for yourself.
All of the items are practical, but with a festive/special nod that I think makes them great gifts. They’re actually either things that I’ve already bought myself and love, or things that are on my wishlist, so I genuinely think they are solid options, thoughtful, and are to be used for a long long time. This 2023 gift guide for her includes a small selection of curated gifts that are thoughtful and meant to delight the beloved women in your life.
2023 Holiday Gift Guide for Her
1. Travel case/ beauty pouch set. This one is one of the items on my wishlist. Beautiful items, but I would not splurge on them myself. That’s why I think they would make a great gift. They’re made out of beautiful leather, with an easy-to-clean interior and the option to monogram them. I mean, what else can you ask for?
2. A perfume. I love anything and everything Jo Malone. My favorite scent is Wood Sage & Sea Salt but honestly, every single scent of theirs is fabulous. Also, you can go for so many formats. A full-sized perfume is always welcome – the English Pear & Freesia one is a cult favorite, a travel size is an amazing gift, or a candle for home such as this Pomegranate scent never hurt nobody.
3. Hermes scarf. I finally added a silk scarf to my wardrobe as an early Christmas gift to myself and I think it’s such a classic item to have. There are so many patterns to choose from and honestly, you can’t go wrong with any. I particularly love the ones with vibrant colors as they add a pop of color to any outfit. It’s also a wonderful way to mark a special occasion. Maybe you’re celebrating a big year for your sister who finally landed that well-deserved promotion, or even for yourself. You can choose between different sizes and price points, from a 90 cm scarf to a 70 cm one or 45 cm bandana, depending on your budget.
4. A cozy cardigan. If you want to go for something a tad more practical, a cozy sweater/cardigan is a great option. This one from Massimo Dutti is a beauty and it comes in such a delicate and beautiful colour. The Gaspard sweater from Sezane is also a great alternative. If you want to go the extra mile, pick a cashmere version. This cashmere jumper from COS is a great, luxurious basic to have in any wardrobe and there are plenty of colors to choose from.
5. Dyson AirWrap. I got the Corrale hair straightener a couple of years ago which I love to use for quickly fixing my hair, but I think I would not mind adding this one to my list. Also, the 25-year edition in ceramic pop is such a beautiful color combo! Can’t top a gift like this one whether for yourself or a loved one.
6. Laptop pouch. I’ve been wanting a sleek laptop sleeve for a while but for some reason, I’ve always held back. Though I know very well that if someone would gift it to me I’d absolutely love it. This one from Cuyana looks gorgeous and there are so many colors to choose from. For the stylish, career-driven women around you, I think it’s a great option.
7. Work tote. I love the look of the classic Cuyana Easy Tote and I’d get it for myself in an instant. If you are in need of a classic work tote, look no further. This one is light, easy to carry, made out of buttery soft leather, and with understated design. If not for you then it’s a great gift for your hardworking sister, or best friend, or maybe as an errand tote for your mom. If a tote is too much, also have a look at this gorgeous cardholder; simple, functional, and beautiful.
8. A Kindle reader. I waited for way too long to upgrade to a Kindle and I regret not doing it earlier. It helped me improve my reading habits a lot (here‘s my reading streak this year) and made reading easier and more accessible while on the go. So if you need a great gift for yourself or another woman in your life, I strongly believe you can’t go wrong with gifting a Kindle. I can recommend the Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition (which by the way I got as a birthday gift from the Mr a couple of years ago and I love it). Add a leather cover in the mix for a complete gift set and you’re done. I have both and am a big fan.
9. Candles. I know, I know, predictable. But fancy candles are always a great gift in my opinion, and I never ever regretted receiving nor gifting one. In fact, it’s my go-to gift when going for Christmas Dinners at friends’ homes. You can go for a classic, like Dyptyque, or a Christmas-themed one. This candle from Anthropologie also looks so pretty and the glass holder can be reused afterwards.
Thank you for reading and I hope you found this 2023 holiday gift guide for her useful, and in case you are still running around for gifts, maybe a few of the things above serve as inspiration.
