Weekly Reads – November 2nd

Happy November and welcome to the Weekly Reads! I feel like I’ve been waiting for a new month for a while so I am definitely enjoying these first few days.  I won’t lie, I am also already a bit excited for real winter and for Christmas. I am looking forward to getting a Christmas tree and, with work from home in sight for the forseable future, actually getting to enjoy it every day. I also have a week long staycation planned for the end of November and let me tell you – can’t wait for that!

Last week I was not up to that much, just work and also enjoying the last meals out as, in Berlin, we are heading into a lockdown throughout November. In case you missed it, last week I also got real about setting boundaries with myself at work and my journey with it. You can have a read here.

Weekly Reads

Whatever happened to Nanette Lepore. Saw this article linked on Cap Hill Style a while ago and thought it’s an excellent read. I am not too familiar with the brand, however, I love reading stories of brands and especially their financials and growth. Really worth a read if you are into fashion, business or both.

Downsizing and moving to the countryside. I finally went over to Jessica Rose William’s blog and loved reading about her journey with downsizing and moving to the countryside. Such an inspiring story.

One career goal for every year of your twenties. I loved this article and if you are just at the start of your career, are feeling a little lost or don’t know whre to head, this might serve you as inspiration to keep moving and striving for something new.

Work from home diaries. One pair of joggers and less decision fatigue. I mean the other option would be pyjama all day long –  which I am not saying it’s a bad thing, because I often opt for it.

Fall dinners. Here are 10 fast fall dinners from A Cup of Jo. Just reading them makes me so hungry.

+ What I am buying. I ordered the seamless sport tights and bralette set from H&M and I absolutely love it. They are super comfortable and the fit is everything, hugging the body perfectly. I wanted to get a more comfy set for wearing at home during work days and an in promptu stretching session between meetings, and this set does not disappoint. It’s all I ever needed.

Thank you for reading and I hope you are having a great start into the week and the month!
