I did my Q1 shopping review here, and as Q2 is approaching an end, I thought it was time for another review and to show you what’s new in my wardrobe. For most of the quarter, I kept a tight grip on shopping. However, as summer hit Berlin, I realized I needed a few new versatile pieces to rotate in my wardrobe. So, with that said, I shopped a little these past couple of weeks, and wanted to show you what’s new in my wardrobe.
What’s New In my Wardrobe
I mainly shopped at & Other Stories, so you will see that most pieces are from there. However, I also grabbed a couple of pieces from Uniqlo and Mango.
The linen shirt dress
I wanted to add a basic linen shirt dress to my wardrobe for a long time. I love shirt dresses and find them easy to throw on, but also flattering. I picked a 100% linen one in black from & Other Stories and I love it. I throw it on whenever I need to leave the hous in 5 minutes and works like a charm.
The fitted knit dress
A fitted midi buttoned shirt knit dress from & Other Stories. This one must be my favourite, and it’s previously been in my fall wishlist last year. It’s a classic and a staple in the wardrobe and I am so happy I finally found the perfect one. It’s not a summer dress only, but since it’s knitted, it works well all year round. Pictured below, wearing it for a summer movie night.
The babydoll dress
I am not a big fan on babydoll dresses, since they have such a specific cut, it can be difficult to wear them sometimes, and also for them to fit on different body types. But, when I found this beauty of a babydoll dress from & Other Stories I knew I had to have it. I see it as a bit more of a special occasion dress, especially since it has an open back detail. And it was perfect for wearing it on my trip to Milan last week and I am obsessed with it. Check out the link since if you are not into black, they also have a pretty flowery version that would make a great wedding guest dress.
The one that got away
There was another dress that I absolutely loved. It’s this midi linen black dress with puffy sleeves also from & Other Stories. I had to leave it behind though because it meant shopping was too many black dresses, and things were getting out of hand. But if you are on the lookout for a flattering, midi linen dress, check it out. It’s a total udnerstated beauty!
Wide leg linen mix summer pants
I also got these linen & silk blend beige pants from & Other Stories, and they are the perfect trouser. They’re tailored and fit like a glove and the fabric mix feels great and does not wrinkle as much as 100% linen would.
I also saw some great options of wide leg linen (mix) pan at COS. Buying more was out of budget for me, otherwise I would have sntched them. I loved two pairs. These white ones were a beauty and also these ones in black were great.
Summer tops
I don’t really have any knitted tops in my wardrobe, and these two looked like a perfect fit for my style. I got a beige knitted top at & Other Stories that I absolutely looove (wearing it below) and a floral jaquard knit top.
Summer shirts
I also grabbed two viscose shirts from Uniqlo, one in white and one in dark blue. These two are staples for almost all year round, and are great casual but also office pieces.
A summer skirt set
I also grabbed an easy to wear, and summery flower print set from Mango, with a midi wrap skirt and a shirt in the same print.
So this is it, my summer shopping. Now, I am curious to know, what have you been shopping this summer or what’son your list?
