Fall Wish List

I did quite some decluttering this year when it comes to my wardrobe, and I am really proud of it. I also shopped a little throughout the year, I will not deny it, especially while in Spain as it was sales time. Most, if not all pieces were solid options though that have a place in my wardrobe. With fall around the corner, I am quite excited about what to wear and have a small itch to grab a few new things; hence the fall wish list here. I am also typically heading into the office 1-2 days a week, so that adds to my excitement.

With that said, I put together a bit of a fall wish list. The idea is for it to help me review, think through and guide me through some purchases I plan to do this upcoming season. Most of them are timeless staples and some can even be worn all year round. Of course, I will most probably not end up getting everything on the list. Since we have to start somewhere though, here is what my fall wish list looks like:

Structured cardigan. I’ve been wanting a structured cardigan for a while and when popping into Massimo Dutti the other day I spotted it and it was perfection. This Sezane cardigan is also quite similar and comes in more colours.

Striped (long sleeve) t-shirt. A striped tee is a basic for any wardrobe and I love this one from Massimo Dutti and also this one from COS with the orange neck and a more artsy vibe. I am still a little torn as to whether I want a long or a short sleeve version so I still need to make up my mind about that.

Structured turtleneck. I love wearing turtlenecks in the cold season and I already have a couple made out of wool. However, I had been eyeing a more structured cotton knit type with a mock neck for a while.  This COS one in black looks pretty perfect – though might be a bit on the oversized side – and I like the striped version in beige too. & Other Stories also carries a version but it’s a bit shorter and with a more boxy cut. This turtle neck striped sweater has all the Toteme vibes and I am kind of squeezing it in this category too. This Arket one is also a nice option but without a turtleneck.

Basic black and white t-shirts. I love a basic black and white t-shirt and I wear them a lot. Because of the wear I get out of them, I usually need to renew them quite often. That’s true especially because they are usually made out of very thin cotton that does not hold up too well. I am so glad that finally most high street shops nowadays carry a thicker version. I really like this basic version from COS in both black and white since they have a pretty relaxed sleeve and a nice high neck.

Dreamy knit. I’ve been wanting to get what I call a “dreamy knit” cardigan for quite some time. This Sezane cardigan fits the bill perfectly and I’d love to finally shop something from the brand that everyone loves.

Midi knit dress. This one is a solid staple that can be worn all year round. I love this one with no sleeves and high neck from COS but also this one with low neck. I also like this version from & Other Stories, though it’s a little shorter.

Wool button cardigan. I literally had this & Other Stories cardigan on my wishlist for 3 years and I even gifted it to friends once or twice but never to myself. I am a little disappointed that in this year’s version the buttons are in dolphin shapes. In the previous years’ version they used to have dinosaur shape for the buttons. As you might suspect, I am all for a more dramatic vibe.

Black midi slip skirt. I love my zebra slip skirt I got at H&M probably 4-5 years ago and that gets a ton of wear all year round. Because it’s a proven staple in my wardrobe by now, I would love to have an alternative in black too. This one from Arket looks like a pretty solid option.

Polene Cyme bag. This is a bit of a longer term wish but I love the look of the Polene Cyme bag. I love that it has both short and long handles, adjustable shape and it fits a laptop. Plus it’s just so versatile and easy to wear.

Chunky loafers. For a while, I’ve been quite digging the more masculine and edgier look of a thick-soled loafer. Finally, I think I am ready to add a pair to my wardrobe. These from Massimo Dutti look pretty clean and could pair well with a lot of outfits while these from COS are a bit edgier.
