If you, same as me, suck at taking beautiful pictures (and I swear my ability to take bad pictures is such a mystery to me, as I am a pretty well skilled person in pretty much everything, if you were to ask me) fear no longer because I got your back.
Below is a selection of five wonderful websites where you can get stunning pictures to use in the online (and offline of course) world, for free. Yes, for free! There are many more websites where you can get free images but these five are my favourite. I use them for the blog (ehem… see picture below), at work for presentations and mock ups – so pretty much for everything – which made me think I’d better share in case it’s useful to anyone else.
Unsplash
My all time favourite is by far Unsplash. It’s full of beautiful, instagrammable pictures that I literally use for everything from work to the blog. All photos are released for free under the Unsplash license and there hasn’t been a time when the site has disappointed me.
Pexels
Similar to Unsplash’s style, they have beautiful high resolution image and many of them with a hipsterish accent. They are free for use and licensed under the Creative Commons Zero (CC0) license.
Pixabay
Apart from beautiful high resolution stock photos, they also have illustrations and vector graphics that are licensed under the Creative Commons Zero (CC0) license.
Stocksnap.io
Perfect place to get stock pictures for free and all photos are released under creative commons public domain – no attribution required.
StyledStock
This is a good place to get beautiful pictures for your lifestyle or beauty blog. They have feminine stock photos that you can use for both personal and commercial use, for free.
